Audiovisual Production | Studio Assistant

Monthly Fee: $1700 (6-month minimum subscription)

I work with contemporary artists, art institutions, curators, and scholars to produce interdisciplinary and often experimental video and audio projects, typically intended for art gallery exhibitions, cinematic contexts, and online distribution. As an experienced filmmaker, video editor, sound designer, and installation artist, I will responsively develop original working processes over a minimum six-month period, during which production plans and distinct audiovisual approaches become shaped around the specific concerns, questions, and scope of a given project, or for a set of interrelated projects.

The monthly fee covers:

• unlimited in person or online meetings and emails for conceptual development, production coordination, technical advice, logistical support, and follow ups on in-progress edits during production periods;
• up to 4 shoot days per month, or 24 shoot days per six-month period, distributed as necessary for the particularities of the project;
• unlimited editing hours;
• the fee does not cover expenses related to production such as travel, accommodation, per diem, or equipment rental costs, which will be discussed and budgeted for throughout the process.

Resulting projects are owned fully by those receiving support, with the inclusion of a credit that the work has been made “with Neven Lochhead.”
